On April 24, 2025 at 4pm the Shade Tree Advisory Committee along with the DPW and Scout troops 2295 and 184, will be holding an Arbor Day tree planting ceremony at Brookside Park. This event will happen rain or shine.

 The event will be as followed.

• The River Edge DPW will purchase 2 white oak trees and have 2 holes dug and prepped before ceremony. Day of event
• Arbor Day presentation from NJ Board Licensed Tree Expert #340/ ISA Certified Arborist Leonard T, Szczawinski 4pm-4:15pm
• Proclamation reading from Mayor Thomas Papaleo 4:20pm-4:30pm
• Scout troops 2295 and 184 will planting 2 white oak trees. 4:30pm-4:40pm
