PSE&G Utility Pole Replacement & Upgrades Starting Late September 2021

PSE&G will be upgrading and replacing utility poles along the following streets in River Edge:

Kinderkamack Road (Between Madison Avenue and Main Street)

Main Street (Between Kinderkamack and Continuing into Hackensack)

Madison Avenue (Between Kinderkamack Road and Railroad Tracks)

Construction is expected to begin in late September 2021, and will continue intermittently through January 2022.  Please note:  PSE&G does not expect this project to cause any service interruptions.

In advance of the overhead construction activities, PSE&G will trim and/or remove trees along the route in compliance with the Board of Public Utilities’ Vegetation Management Rules. This may include trees in the public right of way and on private property. Residents who are owners of a tree on private property will be contacted by PSE&G's Vegetation Management Department or one of their approved contractors.

Some aspects of this activity may result in unavoidable noise, as well as traffic adjustments.  PSE&G is coordinating with the River Edge Police Department to minimize any inconvenience.  It is essential that for all to refrain from going near the construction work zones.

For questions regarding this electric system upgrade project, please call PSE&G at 1-800-901-5035.
