New Jersey recently enacted the Lead Service Line Replacement law, which requires all water utilities to provide an inventory of their service lines and notify residents of the potential presence of lead at their properties. It also commands utilities to embark on lead removal programs.

To comply with the new law, SUEZ has mailed certified letters last week to customers and property owners who are known to have lead service lines.
