Late Night Voter Registration & December 12th Special School Election Information

LATE-NIGHT VOTER REGISTRATION

 

Tuesday, November 21, 2023 is the last day for residents to register to vote for the December 12, 2023 Special School Election. In order to be eligible to vote, a person must be an American Citizen, be 18 years old on or before December 12, 2023, and be a resident of New Jersey and Bergen County.

 

River Edge residents may register to vote by one of the following ways:

  • At the Office of the Borough Clerk located at the Public Safety Building, 2nd Floor, 705a Kinderkamack Avenue, River Edge, NJ 07661. This office will remain open until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21st
  • Online at https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/register.


  DECEMBER 12TH SPECIAL SCHOOL ELECTION INFORMATION

 

There are 2 ways to vote in the December 12th Special School Election. They are as follows:

 

OPTION 1: Go to your regular polling location on  Tuesday, December 12, 2023

 

Polls will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12th. You can find your polling location by clicking here.

 

OPTION 2: Vote by Mail

 

If you have not applied previously and would like to Vote by Mail, applications must be submitted to the Bergen County Clerk’s Office and received by December 5, 2023 if mailed. You may also apply in person at the County Clerk's Office Room 130 until 3 pm on December 11th. You can check your status by contacting the Bergen County Clerk’s Office at 201-336-7020 or electionsclerk@co.bergen.nj.us.

 

You may cast your Vote by Mail ballot in one of three ways:

 

  1. Mail it as soon as possible. Your ballot must be postmarked on or before December 12th.
  2. Drop your completed ballot at one of the Secure Ballot Drop Boxes, located throughout Bergen County, by 8 p.m. on December 12th (Please visit www.bergencountyvotes.com for Drop Box locations.)
  3. Deliver your Vote by Mail ballot in person to the Board of Elections located at 1 Bergen County Plaza – Room 310 by 8 p.m. on December 12th.
