Late Night Voter Registration & General Election Information

LATE-NIGHT VOTER REGISTRATION

 

Tuesday, October 15, 2024 is the last day for residents to register to vote for the November 5, 2024 General Election in the State of New Jersey. In order to be eligible to vote, a person must be an American Citizen, be 18 years old on or before November 5, 2024, and be a resident of New Jersey and Bergen County.

 

River Edge residents may register to vote by one of the following ways:

  • At the Office of the Borough Clerk located at the Public Safety Building, 2nd Floor, 705a Kinderkamack Avenue, River Edge, NJ 07661. This office will remain open until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th
  • Online at https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/register.

  

NOVEMBER 5TH GENERAL ELECTION INFORMATION

 

There are 3 ways to vote in the November 5th General Election. They are as follows:

 

OPTION 1: Go to your regular polling location on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, 2024

 

Polls will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5th. You can find your polling location by clicking here.

OPTION 2: Vote by Mail

 

If you have not applied previously and would like to Vote by Mail, applications must be submitted to the Bergen County Clerk’s Office and received by October 29, 2024 if mailed or by 3 pm on November 4, 2024 if you apply in person. You can check your status by contacting the Bergen County Clerk’s Office at 201-336-7020 or electionsclerk@co.bergen.nj.us.

 

You may cast your Vote by Mail ballot in one of three ways:

 

  1. Mail it as soon as possible. Your ballot must be postmarked on or before Election Day.
  2. Drop your completed ballot at one of the Secure Ballot Drop Boxes, located throughout Bergen County, by 8 p.m. on November 5th (Please visit www.bergencountyvotes.com for Drop Box locations.)
  3. Deliver your Vote by Mail ballot in person to the Board of Elections located at 1 Bergen County Plaza – Room 310 by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

OPTION 3: Vote at any in-person Early Voting Location

 

Early Voting Locations will be open Saturday, October 26th through Sunday, November 3rd. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
