Snow Removal Information


During snow or other emergencies the D.P.W. shall operate on a priority system

Open up primary roads which connect one town to another

Clear parking lots and paths for Police, Fire and Ambulance

Clean and open all secondary roads

Clear crosswalks, intersections, storm drains, assist in clearing of public school parking lots (after 3" of snow)

Clear public sidewalks, open access to all public facilities including parking lots



CALL "911" FOR ALL EMERGENCIES



Please remove cars from the street during a snow event (where possible)

Please be sure to remove all garbage and recycling cans and basketball hoops from the street 

SIDEWALK SHOVELING AND THE CLEARING OF FIRE HYDRANTS AND ADA RAMPS ARE MANDATORY 

AND THE RESPONSIBILTY OF THE HOMEOWNER
